Quick Blog
Hey everyone,
I haven’t bloged in a while. It’s been crazy here. The baby is almost due and we can’t wait!! I can’t say I’ll blog as soon as he is born but I’ll try to be quick. Laura’s dad is flying in today to be here for the birth so that’s cool. He’s a great guy. You have him to thank for all the pictures I post on the blog. Steve bought me my sweet digital camera. David and I finished our little road trip. It was such a blast having him on the road with me. We got up super early our last morning, flew back to CA, drove up to Meatball’s garage/house and picked up my newly rebuilt motorcycle. If you’ve read “2 Live 4” I talked about my bike in that book. It was stolen about 2 years ago and I got it back and brought all the pieces (some missing) up to Meatball and he’s the master. I think I talked about him in my book too. Well it’s back together. I’m thinking about naming it “Lazarus” because it’s rising from the dead. Anyway, we picked up the bike, drove to David’s house/art gallery (I have to post some pix of David’s art. You won’t believe how amazingly cool it is. He’s a major talent) I dropped off David, cleaned my windshield and started my drive back to CO. It took about a day and a half. I was home for 2 days in which time our baby puppy Burr got nurtured and during his surgery one of his hips popped out and wouldn’t go back in due to a birth defect he has in both hips. A day later he went into another surgery to replace his ball and socket in his left hip. He was so happy to be out of pain (even though he had pain from the replacement it was nothing compared to the hip out of joint). Then I left for Canada with my dad and two friends to go hunting (bear) and fishing. The trip was unbelievable. I’ll post pictures soon. I caught a trophy walleye and I shot a 307-pound black bear. It was awesome!! It’s being made into a rug now. My dad shot a 260-pound bear also. Laura is about to burst. She is so uncomfortable so keep her in your prayers. Tito knocked out Ken Shamrock for their 3rd and final fight. I was very happy and was even happier when they hugged afterwards and said kind things about each other as Tito held Ken’s arm high and walked him around the ring. They both came out with a lot of class. Way to go Tito. I just bought your “Punishing Him Into Retirement” shirt last night and will wear it proudly. Speaking of UFC memorabilia I bought Laura a Matt Hughes shirt for her birthday (along w/ many other presents) and she loves it. Matt is her favorite fighter. Next in her list is Rich Franklin who is defending his title tonight. Keep him in your prayers. He’s a good man. Where does that leave us? Well Burr had his second hip replaced this week. He’s doing remarkably well and happy to be feeling better. The KOR Kast now has over 20,000 subscribers!! Woot!! If you aren’t listening start now! I’ll be recording a show as soon as I can. I’ll try to include baby Lincoln when he comes out. Jonathan is doing great. He just bought a new bow so he can go hunting w/ his big brother next week. We’re looking for more e-mails to talk about on the show so send them in (info@korministries.com). That’s all I’ve got for now.
God Bless you all.
Ryan

Hey Ryan,
It's been a while since I've been on here....I never knew you guys were so into the UFC....I'm a fan myself, I have been doing martial arts my whole life and I have taken some MMA classes....I could never go without protective gear...even with the helmet on I have been knocked out....Punches and kicks can be so powerful, there is nothing that can protect you....You can still bleed being punched with a facecage on.....So I really have a lot of respect for any fighter who can go without anything but the gloves on their hands....I've trained with real fighters and they get big swollen ears..they call them caulliflower ears....These guys are amazing fighters....If you ever have any questions on MMA or Martial Arts in general, you know who you can ask! Thats me....in case you don't know who to ask =) God bless and take care!

Love, Lorne and Earline Blacklock. I wish Jon and you could keep in touch. He could sure use some spiritual help at this time in his life. Love ya

My husband and youngest son went bear hunting in Idaho in May and both had success! One's being mounted, one's being made into a rug.

Hey Ryan,
In response to your comment made during the Jessie Butterworths(?) Podcast, about your first book "Be Intolerent"...I just wanted to tell you that I am reading that very book for the third time and have passed it on to others. I sort of consider it a survival guide to the times we live in. It's an eye-opener and one of the most honest books I've read. Keep up the battle!
Love & prayers, boyonbass
